Job Fair — January 9, 2022

Golden State Women in Fire Service — UC Davis Fire Department

***UPDATE ***

From Golden State WFS

To all our Campers, Instructors, and Guests,

Out of an abundance of caution, Golden State WFS has made the difficult decision to postpone our Collegiate HERo Girls Fire Camp and Job Fair on January 8th and 9th at UC Davis.  Safety is always our first priority and with the rise in COVID cases, contact tracing, quarantine, and possible campus closures, the board has made the difficult decision to postpone camp.

Our members have worked extremely hard with the hope of avoiding this result and truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this unprecedented challenge.

We understand this comes as a great disappointment for everyone who has been eagerly looking forward to the camp, especially during these difficult times.  We look forward to seeing you the weekend of April 2nd and 3rd, 2022 for take 2 of Collegiate HERo Girls Fire Camp on the UC Davis campus.

We hope to enjoy your continued support, as we emerge from this setback even stronger and more determined to create the best empowerment experience we can in HERo Girls Fire Camp.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding,

Golden State Women in the Fire Service Executive Board

All graduating cadets will be added to the Firefighter Candidate Testing Center (FCTC) Statewide Eligibility List, which is used by fire departments throughout California that are looking to hire.

Sponsored by the Cal-JAC and the Richard M. Slawson Occupational Center, the Cal-JAC Academy is open to candidates who meet the following prerequisites:
